Core 12 EVO
All-mountain touring on wider skis, with more retention and more riser options than a light binding gives you.
Freeride Power. All-Mountain Range.
The Core 12 EVO gives you alpine-style retention and power transfer out of a tech binding, without surrendering the uphill efficiency that makes touring work in the first place. It's the binding for skiers who drive wider skis hard and want the gear underfoot to hold up to it.
What separates it from the rest of the freeride line is range. Five walking modes and a generous heel lift spread mean you can match the riser to the pitch instead of settling for the nearest option, and brake widths from 86 all the way to 120mm make it compatible with nearly everything in the catalog. Ski crampon slots on the toe piece keep technical approaches and icy traverses open to you. For skis wider than 94mm, optional ATK Freeride Spacers are worth adding.
At 350g it's lighter than its bigger sibling while covering most of the same ground. If you ski at the top of the retention range or spend your days on the widest skis in the line, the Core FR 15 EVO takes it further. For most freeride tourers, the 12 is the one.
The Core 12 EVO is made for HAGAN in partnership with ATK in Italy, who we work with to bring their best products to North America. It is identical to the ATK Raider 12 EVO.
Specifications
Choosing a brake: pick a width equal to or slightly wider than your ski’s waist. A brake narrower than the ski will not clear it.
Shipping & Returns
Orders ship from our US warehouse. Skis ship oversized, so allow a little extra transit time. Full details on our shipping page.
Returns: Unused gear can be returned within 30 days. Once bindings have been mounted, skis cannot be returned. Please confirm your length and brake width before mounting We reccomend brakes be >2mm wider than the skis midpoint.
Warranty: Three years against manufacturing defects, extended to five years when you register your gear. See warranty & returns.
Mounting & Setup
We offer professional binding mounting when you buy a ski and binding together. Add it to your order and we'll mount and test before shipping.
If you're mounting elsewhere, bring your boots. Sole length sets the adjustment, and release values should be set and checked by someone qualified.
This is a tech (pin) binding and needs boots with tech inserts. Nearly all modern touring boots have them; alpine boots don't.
