The Ultra World Cup is the lightest binding in the HAGAN lineup and one of the lightest race-ready tech bindings available anywhere. Titanium and aluminum alloy construction, stripped to its essentials, with a fixed release setting and a single-minded focus on uphill speed. It's the binding for skimo racers, elite mountaineers, and tourers who have done the math on every gram in their setup and refuse to carry anything that isn't earning its place.
This is the brakeless version: the lightest possible configuration, for ski mountaineers and weight-focused tourers operating in open terrain where a retention system isn't required. It saves 25g per binding over the brake version and removes one more piece of hardware from the equation. If you're racing, the brake version is the one you need, since ISMF-sanctioned races require a brake and most independently organized races inside resort boundaries require a brake or a leash to enter.
The toe piece has no ski crampon slot, but it's fully compatible with the optional ATK crampon slot adapter if your objectives call for one.
The Ultra World Cup is made for HAGAN in partnership with ATK in Italy, who we work with to bring their best products to North America. It is identical to the ATK SL World Cup.
Specifications
Choosing a brake: pick a width equal to or slightly wider than your ski’s waist. A brake narrower than the ski will not clear it.
Shipping & Returns
Orders ship from our US warehouse. Skis ship oversized, so allow a little extra transit time. Full details on our shipping page.
Returns: Unused gear can be returned within 30 days. Once bindings have been mounted, skis cannot be returned. Please confirm your length and brake width before mounting We reccomend brakes be >2mm wider than the skis midpoint.
Warranty: Three years against manufacturing defects, extended to five years when you register your gear. See warranty & returns.
Mounting & Setup
We offer professional binding mounting when you buy a ski and binding together. Add it to your order and we'll mount and test before shipping.
If you're mounting elsewhere, bring your boots. Sole length sets the adjustment, and release values should be set and checked by someone qualified.
This is a tech (pin) binding and needs boots with tech inserts. Nearly all modern touring boots have them; alpine boots don't.
